CCL Scholars participate in the Practice Lab throughout the academic year. Practice Labs are specialized sessions designed to “practice” skills introduced over the summer.
CCL Scholars will have the opportunity to continue exploring majors and career pathways throughout the school year. Along with faculty or industry-led sessions, students will work with advisors on soft skill development.
The Practice Lab takes place for one day in September, October, November, January, February, and March. Program dates are determined in the summer each year and follow the NYC Department of Education academic calendar.

As scholars move through high school, the Practice Lab focuses more closely on supporting students through the college application process or determining a post-secondary pathway that suites their needs. We’ll help students map their postsecondary pathways and answer questions like, what are my options after high school? What is the FAFSA? When should I apply to college?
